March 30: Fancy Editing (for News)

You’ve got the basics of audio editing down. Now you want to learn some fancier techniques. This is the workshop for you!

News Coordinator Chris Chang-Yen Phillips will show you:

  • How to integrate music into news stories
  • How to maintain consistent levels
  • Creative ways to edit your tape, including back-to-back use of clips, creative use of silences, fades, room tone, and leveraging the musicality of your tape.

This workshop is for news volunteers who already have basic proficiency in Hindenburg and/or Logic Pro.

When: Thursday, March 30 – 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Where: Room 0-31, Students Union Building, University of Alberta
