CJSR CHARTS – August 2nd

| & filed under CJSR, Edmonton, Indie, Music, Top 30.

Happy Heritage Day! I hope everyone got a chance to go eat meat on a stick in Hawrylak Park this weekend. I think the sun burned my head. Ouch. Yep.

This week on the charts, Mitchmatic takes the top spot with his new mixtape, Two Weeks Off. It’s free from his website! Check it out! D-Bags!

Former Edmontonian (current Vancouverite) and busker extraordinaire DB Buxton makes his triumphant return via the Orpeans and their new EP, Turn the Lights Out. Those kids love their DBB!

I think I’m most in love with the #14 record, Wilding, by Lab Coast. There are tons of great pop hooks in that fuzz. Plus they remind of Pavement a little, which always gets you points.

By the way, have you listened to that Sajia Sultana record? Nuts.

Don’t forget to listen to the CJSR top 20 every Wednesday from 9-11am on 88.5FM in Edmonton!
