We’re looking for new board members who want to make a meaningful impact on one of Edmonton’s longest-running independent community media organizations.

We’re especially hoping to connect with people who have experience in:

• Human Resources 

• Finance or Accounting 

• Law

You don’t need a background in radio to serve on the board – if you believe in community radio and want to contribute your professional skills to a local non-profit, we’d love to hear from you!

By serving on the board, you have an opportunity to:

• Support independent community radio

• Build and apply leadership and governance experience

• Connect with passionate people who care about Edmonton’s arts & culture community

• Help ensure CJSR continues to thrive for years to come

First Alberta Campus Radio Association (FACRA) oversees CJSR

FACRA is a not-for-profit organization and registered charity with the broadcast license for CJSR-FM 88.5

The elected FACRA Board of Directors consists of up to 12 elected and appointed members, both folks from the community and University of Alberta students, including: 

• 2 University of Alberta Students’ Union

• 1 Graduate Students Association representative from the University of Alberta

Not all board members are necessarily active volunteers at CJSR—some just love the station and want to help out however they can!
