CJSR is hiring a Music Librarian (up to 20 hours per week) – 1 year term, both weekday & weekend shifts.

Best librarian ever! Be our “gnu” Music Librarian. Duties for this PT position include training and working with volunteers to catalogue, label and add hot “gnu” music weekly to CJSR’s music library (data entry, label making, and filing), updating and keeping the collection a manageable size, basic charting and tracking, info processing, spreadsheet updating and chart submissions. Also, coordinates volunteers to help out in the library, contacting labels for music, moving, culling, cleaning and filing. This supports our programming requirements.

Some supervisory experience is an asset. Understanding of volunteer organizations and motivating volunteers is an asset. Diverse interest in music is a benefit. Previous cataloguing experience is helpful. A Library Tech or Library Science background or comparable applied experience is preferred. Current station volunteers will be given preference. Wage rate is currently under review.
