Announcing 2025 FunDrive artist: Smokey

| & filed under awesome, CJSR news, FunDrive.

Local musician and multidisciplinary artist Nickelas Johnson aka Smokey has created the look for CJSR’s 2025 FunDrive.

This design will be featured on this year’s donor swag, from t-shirts, sweaters, bags to the cover of the highly sought after Friends of CJSR card.

This year’s FunDrive runs October 31-November 8.

All donations of any amount, big and small, are important as they contribute to sustaining the station. Depending on how much a person donates will determine what swag, featuring Smokey’s artwork, they’ll receive.

Plus, we issue tax receipts (CJSR is a registered charity).

Also! If you donate during FunDrive, you will be entered to win daily giveaways.

THE ARTIST

Smokey’s artwork has been exhibited at the:

He’s also known for his lofi anti-folk and garage sonic experiments creating a kind of spooky country music as heard on his latest album, Bleak Heritage (released August 2025)
