CJSR is marking Drone Day (a day early)!

Drone Day was dreamt up by Weird Canada in 2014 and continues to be marked every year with events all over — including here on the station. 

The minimalist genre is built around sustained sounds or repeating bass notes called “drones”. It challenges the concept of traditional melody and rhythm and ranges from deep, meditative ambiance to heavy, abrasive noise.
