Hold the eggnog – 3 brand new shows? All That Matters, The Laugh of Medusa, and Energy Voices join the CJSR lineup in the new year for your listening pleasure.

Starting January 7th, All That Matters joins the airwaves every Wednesday at 5 PM. All That Matters is a half-hour show biting off big questions about arts and culture in Alberta. Each week, you’ll hear stories about visual artists, playwrights, video game designers and the rest of Alberta’s makers wrestling with questions like why artists move out of Edmonton, why wearing a mask can liberate or betray you, and who the heck art is for.

Starting January 25th, The Laugh of Medusa can be heard every Thursday at 5:30 PM. The Laugh of Medusa is a half-hour program asking questions about gender equality in sports. Presented in both English and Persian, the show will give listeners a space to hear about events, athletes, and commentators around the world who rarely make it to the headlines. The show is presented by the brains behind the great website Gender Equality in Sports.

And once a month on Fridays at 11 AM, you’ll now hear Energy Voices – a co-production of CJSR, CJSW and Student Energy. Energy Voices is an hour-long show that aimes to create and stoke a vibrant dialogue on crucial energy topics. Through debates, quick facts, and epic questions, the show offers a unique channel to educate students and the greater public on different perspectives of energy and sustainability topics.

If you want to volunteer for any of these shows, send us an email at news@cjsr.com. We want you on our team!
